BREAKING NEWS: Some T-Mobile subscribers are dealing with an outage

Some T-Mobile subscribers are having issues with the carrier. According to Downdetector.com, at 4:29 pm ET, 613 complaints about T-Mobile's service had been received compared to the 18 tallied at 6:55 am ET and 34 at 9:10 am ET. Complaints were submitted from Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Carmichael, Elk Grove, Dallas, Reno, Denton, Roseville, and Phoenix. 49% of the submitted complaints cited an issue with the T-Mobile customer's mobile phone. One-third of the complaints dealt with 5G home internet, and 19% said that they could not get a signal.

Some T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile subscribers are dealing with an outage

Metro by T-Mobile is also having a problem. From one report at 10:09 am ET, Downdetector showed 73 complaints as of 4:47 pm ET. The Downdetector website now shows that "User reports indicate problems at T-Mobile," and "User reports indicate possible problems at Metro by T-Mobile."
The low number of T-Mobile complaints suggests that the issue is regional. Last month, when Verizon suffered a nationwide outage, Downdetector received well over 20,000 submissions. Downdetector is owned by Ookla, the company behind the Speedtest.net app that measures your phone's down and uplink data speeds.

The problem appears to be a regional one

Other websites that report on the connectivity status of major service providers also show that some T-Mobile subscribers have experienced problems with their wireless service. StatusGator is reporting that there are possible issues with T-Mobile's wireless service. The website shows several complaints about T-Mobile coming from California. Other states where problems have been reported include Alabama and Florida. A similar service titled, "Is The Service Down," says that T-Mobile is having issues with the internet and wireless phone service, while some are experiencing a total blackout. This site states that the carrier has been having problems since 11:40 am on Saturday.
As Saturday afternoon turned into Saturday evening, the number of complaints dropped dramatically and Downdetector changed its status on T-Mobile to state that it was now possibly having problems. That type of pattern is similar to what we saw with AT&T at the end of last month when the wireless provider confirmed that cut fiber led to a multi-state outage of the carrier's broadband service.
